Odette’s pole dancing addiction started in 2010 with a haphazard spin on a pole at the Pink Kitty Nightclub in Cabo San Lucas during a bachelorette weekend. Upon returning to Austin, Odette took her first class at Brass Ovaries and could not move the next day! Realizing this was the workout she had been looking for, Odette quickly bought a home pole and started training at Brass Ovaries, continuing to feed her new found addiction and discovering it to be an exhilarating and freeing experience as well as providing both physical and mental therapy during tough times. She truly credits pole fitness for transforming her into a strong, confident woman.
Odette attended her first competition as a finalist in the Fitness Category for Miss Texas Pole Star in 2012. Since then, along with her pole wife Mary, they together have won numerous accolades including United Pole Artists Video Challenge 2014 Doubles Winners, 2014 Miss Texas Pole Star Doubles Winners, 2013 Miss Texas Pole Star Doubles 1st Runner Up, and 2013 Capital of Texas Pole Championship Partners Pole 1st Runner Up.
While she is now retired from competing, she finds herself happiest in helping others obtain their own pole goals. Odette started instructing in 2012, often times pulling from her engineering background, and has certifications in XPERT Pole Fitness, Spin City Anatomy & Physiology Foundations, Spin City Stretch & Flexibility, Spin City Pole Fabric, TriggerPoint Foam Rolling, and Kinesiological Stretching Technique.
Mary began her aerial journey at Brass Ovaries in 2011 when she took her first pole class from Natasha, soon fell in love with lyra, and jumped into her first live performance at Brass Ovaries' 5th Anniversary Aerial Cabaret show in 2012. Since then, Mary loves to constantly learn from nationally recognized instructors in pole, lyra, trapeze, and hammock and being the eternal student. Never in the beginning of her aerial training did she imagine she would teach and share the magic where she first learned!
Mary is certified in Spin City Beginner Aerial Hoop instruction and holds the titles of United Pole Artists Video Challenge 2014 Doubles Winner, 2014 Miss Texas Pole Star Doubles Winner, 2013 Miss Texas Pole Star Doubles 1st Runner Up, and 2013 Capital of Texas Pole Championship Partners Pole 1st Runner Up -- all with her doubles partner Odette. She is a member of the local Violet Crown Collective aerial troupe.

Matthew's passion for dance began at his family's dance studio - The Queensboro Institute of Music and Dance. Usually "the only 'boy' in class", Matthew's practice began under the instruction from his aunt. His early studies include formal styles of dance from classic ballet to tap. After relocating to North Texas, Matthew was soon accepted to the Velocity Dance Company at Tarrant County College. As Matthew made his way to his Fine Arts Degree, he would not only dance by day but exposed his training to the club dance scene at night; creating a way to absorb other dance influences and simultaneously pay for his schooling. Currently, Matthew's focus directs out to a more informal fluid, freestyle form of dance.
